Brian O’NeillAssociate
B.Eng. (Hons.), European Patent Attorney, Community Trade Mark Attorney
Brian's work involves the filing and prosecution of European and International Patent Applications for both local and international clients. He has been with FRKelly since 1999, having completed a degree in mechanical engineering. He qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2004, and is also a qualified Irish Patent Attorney and Community Trade Mark Attorney.
Brian has recently been involved in the creation of a large patent portfolio for a Dublin-based and world leading firm undertaking a pioneering tidal based renewal energy project. He also works with a number of medical and surgical device firms and individual surgeons in the area of medical and surgical devices and methods for manufacturing such devices. Brian represents a number of large US firms in prosecuting both European and Irish patent applications.
Brian has recently finished serving as chairperson of the Irish Patent Law Committee, and in this capacity dealt with a wide range of the issues that surround Irish and European IP legislation and related issues.
Brian is based in our Dublin Office.
