Gerald joined FRKelly in 1962 and joined the partnership in 1974. He is a leading authority on Irish designs and copyright law, and has extensive experience in all areas of intellectual property, with a particular interest in the licensing, transfer and exploitation of IP rights.
He is the immediate past President of the Irish Group of AIPPI and a past President of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys. He is a member of ECTA and a foreign member of CIPA and ITMA. He is the Irish Representative on the Disciplinary Committee of the European Patent Institute (epi).
