Typical filing charges for associates

These fees apply only to established firms of attorneys who instruct us on behalf of the applicant.  Where we are instructed directly by the applicant or designer and retain responsibility for their design rights in general, higher charges will normally apply to reflect the additional responsibility and communication required on our part.

In all cases these fees are given for general guidance and do not substitute for an individual estimate.

Irish Design application

(a) Typical basic cost for an application with one design, claiming priority (this includes both the official filing fee and publication fee) €868 (b) Additional cost per additional design in the same application €92

(note that all of the designs must be in the same Locarno class for a multiple design application)

Community Design Application

(a) Typical basic cost for a community design application with one design, claiming priority (this includes both the official filing fee and publication fee)  €1302 (b) Additional cost for each of 2nd to 10th designs in the same application €352 (c) Additional cost for each of 11th and subsequent designs in the same application €231

(note that all of the designs must be in the same Locarno class for a multiple design application)

NOTE: Fees include both official and service charges, but do not include VAT where applicable. Further fees will arise if there is an official objection/requirement or opposition to the Application. The fees will depend on the nature of the work and the time involved.
