Shane joined the firm in 1982 and has degrees in both law and computer science. He is a lecturer in computer law at Trinity College Dublin. He is a council member of MARQUES (The Association of European Trade Mark Owners) and a member of ECTA and AIPPI. He is a member of the EU Scientific Committee on Designations of Geographical Origin and co-author of the leading textbook on Irish Intellectual Property Law published by Butterworths.
