Mary joined the firm in 2001, having spent over a decade practising trade mark law in private practice in London. Mary qualified as a UK Trade Mark Attorney in 1993, and has specialised in the areas of licensing, due diligence, trade mark portfolio management, infringement and passing off. Before starting her career in IP, Mary worked as a software engineer, and she maintains a keen interest in trade mark issues relating to the internet, particularly domain name issues. Mary is admitted as a Solicitor in Ireland, and also in England and Wales. She has written and spoken widely on trade mark issues throughout her career.
