David joined the profession in 1993 and moved to F.R. Kelly in 1998. He specialises in the fields of mechanics, electronics, telecommunications and software and has extensive experience of European and PCT patent prosecution. In addition he has conducted a number of Opposition and Appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. David is involved in setting and marking the final qualifying examination in European Patent Law which is taken by all prospective European Patent Attorneys, and he represents the firm on the Patent Laws Committee of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys.
