Niamh Hall
Admitted as a solicitor in Ireland, England and Wales; Community Trade Mark Attorney; LL.B. (Trinity College, Dublin); Diploma in Commercial Litigation (Law Society of Ireland)
Niamh deals with all aspects of national, Community and International Trade Marks, from trade mark clearance to registration, exploitation and conflicts, as well as domain name dispute complaints.
Niamh is a co-author of the third edition of the leading Irish legal textbook on intellectual property, "Intellectual Property Law in Ireland" (Clark, Smyth & Hall, 3rd edition, Bloomsbury Professional, 2010). She is also a co-author of the forthcoming publication "Concise European Trademark and Design Law" (Kluwer Law International) and the Irish contributor to "McGrady on Domain Names". Niamh has published extensively on trade mark issues in periodicals such as World Trademark Review, the Marques newsletter and Irish Intellectual Property Law Quarterly.
Niamh has lectured and tutored in the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland on intellectual property. She is the Vice President of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys and Chairperson of their Trade Mark Laws and Practice Committee, a board member of the Copyright Association of Ireland and a member of the INTA sub-committee on parallel imports. She has been involved as a moderator and speaker at international trade mark conferences, including INTA in Barcelona 2010 (trade mark infringement issues on the internet) and Marques in Brussels 2011 (economic impact of parallel imports).
